Each Pass Is Designed For An Individual to Attend ALL Four Sessions
Given our rapidly changing nonprofit landscape plagued by inequity, shrinking funding, limited human resources and complex social issues, leaders need new strategies as they approach the future. The 2020 Shine the Light (STL) Nonprofit Forums offers leaders an opportunity to learn how to tackle complex organizational and community challenges by applying “adaptive leadership” - a powerful framework and set of tools and techniques for mobilizing people to tackle challenges that have no known or easy answers. Such challenges are known as “adaptive” problems. They are different from technical problems, which generally can be solved by using current know-how. Adaptive problems must be addressed by changing priorities, beliefs, habits and loyalties. They require courage, tenacity and an experimental mind-set. By attending STL’s comprehensive four-part series facilitated by international expert, Eric Martin, leaders will develop new skills and build their “adaptive muscles” to apply to their work going forward. Participants should come ready to roll up their sleeves and apply this compelling framework to their most pressing adaptive challenge. Purchase a 2020 Shine the Light pass • and participate in ALL four half-day sessions facilitated by Eric Martin -May 5, June 2, August 25 and October 13.• Engage in pre-work, thought exercises and field work between sessions around a specific adaptive challenge you are facing. It is highly recommended that you attend with at least one other individual who is partnering with you on this work (inside or outside your organizations.)
