Greenville, SC (July 31, 2019)— DNA Creative Communications, in partnership with the Community Foundation of Greenville, the United Way of Greenville County, the Hollingsworth Funds, the Jolley Foundation and The Graham Foundation invite Upstate nonprofit leaders to attend “Advocacy: Be the Change in Your Organization” facilitated by Kristen Grimm, president of the Washington, DC – based Spitfire Strategies, on Thursday, August 29 (8:30 – noon) at Kroc Greenville (425 Westfield Street, Greenville). Registration is now open at www.nonprofitforums.org.
The August 29th session will focus on developing advocacy strategies. Participants will be introduced to Planning to Win, Kristin Grimm’s proven tool designed to help run a winning advocacy effort. Together participants will learn how to: 1)Set a doable advocacy campaign win; 2)Create a path to the win that works; 3: Plot the influence and communications needed to get over the finish line; and 4)Watch for blindspots that doom change efforts. All attendees should come with a topic to work on (e.g., homelessness, affordable housing, transportation, conservation, etc.) At the end of this interactive workshop, everyone will leave with an emerging strategy.
All participants, who are interested in digging deeper and continuing to develop their emerging strategies are invited to attend a follow up Bonus Session on Friday, September 26 (9:00 – 11:30) at Long Branch Baptist Church. Registration is required for this session at www.nonprofitforums.org.
