Hundreds of Nonprofit Leaders Will Create Greenville’s Nonprofit Time Capsule
Greenville, SC (January 28, 2019)— DNA Creative Communications, in partnership with the Community Foundation of Greenville, the United Way of Greenville County and the Hollingsworth Funds, the Jolley Foundation and The Graham Foundation, announces its 2019 Shine the Light Nonprofit Forums launch. The event, “Launching Into The Future,” will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 4pm to 6pm at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate, at 300 College Street in downtown Greenville.
Debbie Nelson, president and founder of Shine the Light Nonprofit Forums shares, “I am so excited to celebrate our 10th anniversary with a special event for local nonprofit leaders and volunteers at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate. I anticipate more than 200 folks will attend. Together we will create Greenville’s Nonprofit Time Capsule that will capture a story from each nonprofit and their dreams for the future. While the event is open to all nonprofit professionals from across the community – the more the merrier – to attend you must register at www.nonprofitforums.org.”
The launch is designed with 4 goals in mind.
- A fun networking event to celebrate and recognize our local nonprofit community.
- Create Greenville’s Nonprofit Time Capsule to capture the work of today’s nonprofits and their dreams for future generations.
- Celebrate Black History Month with a performance by The Phillis Wheatley – Dwight Woods Repertory Theatre for Youth.
- Announce the 2019 Shine the Light Forums series, “Launch Into The Future.” This year will feature 4 exciting professional development opportunities facilitated by national nonprofit experts. Topics and speakers will be unveiled at the Launch.

Shine the Light Nonprofit Forums
Shine the Light Nonprofit Forums, a learning forum for nonprofit professionals and their board members, is presented annually by DNA Creative Communications in partnership with the Community Foundation of Greenville, the United Way of Greenville County, the Hollingsworth Funds, the Jolley Foundation and The Graham Foundation. Each year Shine the Light develops and delivers highly relevant and creative events to strengthen nonprofit leaders, increase organizational effectiveness and facilitate system integration. Each forum exposes participants to key strategies, provides them with opportunities to learn together, and equips them with implementation tools.
