Charles Weathers will facilitate “Managing an Equitable Organization” on June 25 at Kroc Greenville
DNA Creative Communications, in partnership with the Community Foundation of Greenville, the United Way of Greenville County, the Hollingsworth Funds, the Jolley Foundation and The Graham Foundation invite Upstate nonprofit leaders to attend “Managing an Equitable Organization” facilitated by Charles Weathers on Tuesday. June 25 (9:00 – 3:00) at Kroc Greenville (425 Westfield Street, Greenville). Registration is now open at www.nonprofitforums.org
The June 25h session will explore the traditional management functions of planning, organizing, controlling, coordinating, and staffing through the lens of inclusion and equity. Goals are for participants to walkaway 1) seeing the value in, and making the case for, a more inclusive and equitable organization, 2) understanding how changing an organization’s culture impacts organizational development, 3) learning the fundamental principles of managing a multi-cultural organization, and 4) better able to identify exclusionary management policies and practices.
In typical Shine the Light style, the session will be highly interactive and will provide tools for implementation. All participants, who are interested in digging deeper and continuing the conversation, are invited to attend a follow up Bonus Session on Friday, July 26 (9:00 – 11:30) at the Phillis Wheatley Community Center. Registration is required for this session that will be professionally facilitated by Brian Chad Starks of BCS.
